After sitting out the 2015-16 season as he recovered from left ankle surgery, Glen Davis is ready to make his NBA comeback, he told TMZ.

However, he noted that he needs to lose around 30 pounds before he does so, with the goal of getting his weight down to 300.

“Big Baby” has spent nine seasons in the NBA, playing for the Boston Celtics, Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Clippers. The 30-year-old power forward has never been a star, but has always been a valuable player off the bench, averaging 8.0 points and 4.4 rebounds per game.

Davis played his last season in 2014-15 for the Clippers and had the worst numbers of his career (4.0 points, 2.3 rebounds), although he played in 74 games – the second-most of his career and four shy of his season high.

If he can prove he's healthy, he should get interest from teams looking to add to their frontcourt depth. Before his ankle surgery in September, Davis had reportedly drawn interest from the Clippers, Dallas Mavericks and some international squads.
