The Golden State Warriors have sent a firm reminder to the rest of the NBA what a dominant force they still are. They now hold a convincing 3-0 series lead over the Dallas Mavericks in the Conference Finals. The Game 3 victory was an especially tough blow for the Mavs as it occurred on their home court. The 40-point performance from Luka Doncic was not enough and the Warriors were able to secure the victory once again.

The Mavs will have no time to rest in their sorrows as they must prepare for Game 4. This game will once again tip off in Dallas. There has never been an NBA team to come back from a 3-0 deficit in a playoff series. Considering the firepower and experience of the Warriors, it is tough to imagine this will be the first. With Game 4 right around the corner, here are three predictions for what to expect.

3 Warriors Predictions for Game 4 vs Mavs in Western Conference Final

Warriors Complete the Sweep

The Mavericks have had a terrific season, but it is clear the Warriors are a notable step ahead. Golden State is an established championship-caliber team and has too many scoring options for the Mavs to match up with. Game 3 felt as if it was a pivotal point for Dallas in order to keep their series hopes alive. Dallas certainly will not roll over and will do their best to keep their season alive. However, the losses have not been a matter of missed adjustments or failure to hit shots but rather a difference in talent and execution.

During the past eight seasons, the Warriors have swept six different playoff series. The most notable of these was the sweep in the 2017-18 NBA Finals over the Cleveland Cavaliers. This is not a list any team wants to find themselves on, but expect the Warriors to complete the sweep in Game 4.

Draymond Green Triple-Double

Draymond Green has 10 career triple-doubles in his NBA Playoff career. He consistently does the dirty work for the Warriors and is the heart and soul of the team in many regards. His extended conversations with officials are frustrating and oftentimes result in technical fouls. While this is a part of Green's blunt style and personality, it takes away from how effective he is on the floor.

It has not created an issue in this series, but this is something the Warriors must get over control of before the Finals. Allowing opposing teams additional free throws is never a positive regardless of Green's strong opinions. Look for Green to come in refocused and put his fingerprints all over the team's success. The Warriors are at their best when Draymond Green is involved and expect him to do just this in Game 4. As freighting as it may be, it feels as if the Warriors have not played their best since their dominant victory in the opening matchup.

Warriors win rebounding battle by 10+ rebounds

Playoff games are oftentimes won and lost in the margins and one of the clearest areas is in the rebounding battle. This is something the Warriors have made a notable focus on in this series and it has benefitted them greatly. Golden State has outrebounded Dallas by 13 or more rebounds in all three matchups thus far. The most notable deficit was seen in Game 1 where the Warriors tallied 51 rebounds compared to the Mavs' 35. The Warriors also grabbed seven more offensive rebounds than the Mavs in Game 3.

The Mavericks rely heavily on the three-point arc for their offensive production. Dallas is leading the NBA in three-point attempts (41.4) and three-point frequency (51.3%) this postseason. There is clearly value in this shot, but it also puts the Mavs at a disadvantage on the boards. The Mavs have struggled on the boards all year as they were 28th in the NBA in rebounding during the regular season. The hope that they will catch fire likely combats the lack of talent they have in comparison to the Warriors roster. You live and die with the three-pointer and the Mavericks have seen this first-hand in this series. Golden State has given Kevon Looney an extended run in this series to ensure they have dominated in this area.

The Warriors are in the best position of any of the remaining playoff teams. They hold total control of their current series, are beginning to click on all cylinders, and are likely the healthiest of the remaining teams. Golden State understands the importance of additional rest so look for them to wrap this series up. This may not be the Western Conference thriller many have hoped for but is a statement nonetheless.
