Hue Jackson didn't have the best experience as the head coach of the Cleveland Browns, though props should be given to him for landing the big opportunity at Grambling.
Not only that, but a four-year contract for Jackson at one of the most prominent historically black colleges and universities in the nation, in Grambling, is no small feat.
Article Continues BelowJackson is no stranger to the college game either, as he started out as a small-school position coach in the 1980s before rising all the way up to an offensive coordinator position at USC in the early-2000s. He spent the 2021 season as an offensive coordinator for Tennessee State.
Jackson is most known for his NFL tenures with the Browns and Las Vegas Raiders. He compiled an 8-8 record with the Raiders before succumbing to losing ways with the Browns, most notably in the 2017 season, as Cleveland went 0-16.
Still, Hue Jackson undoubtedly has a feel for the game, having been around football for quite some time. That should only serve to benefit Grambling State moving forward.
