Country Roads — Red Dead Redemption 2
Red Dead Redemption 2 is the followup to 2010's Western action-adventure sandbox, Red Dead Redemption. The first entry in the franchise was firmly a console exclusively but its sequel somehow found its way onto the Steam platform. This is perhaps motivated by the success of Rockstar Game's Grand Theft Auto V on the storefront.
You step into America in 1899 where cowboys and ranchers run rampant. The quickest way to describe this amazing game is if GTA took place in the wild west but even that doesn't do the title justice. RDR 2 is the pinnacle of Rockstar's expertise with open-world sandbox games.

To Hades and Back — Hades
Hades is the latest game offering from Supergiant Games who famously created Bastion, Transistor, and Pyre. It's been three years since the gaming studio offered something new for its loyal fans and it didn't disappoint with its 2020 offering.
There are very few games that match the level of Hades' gripping art style. Hades is a roguelike action RPG game that encourages trial and error from its players. It was well-received from critics and players following its September 2020 release. The game received nine nominations from The Game Awards 2020 including Game of the Year. Supergiant Games took home the awards for Best Indie Game and Best Action Game. Hades is a challenging game that demands a player's commitment so it's certainly not for anyone. However, if you're up for a challenge while going through a stylistic underworld, then this game might be right for you.
Unsurprisingly, the Hades discount isn't massive but it's ultimately worth every dollar. It's currently on sale for 20% off for around USD 10.
Why do we fall? — Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout
Two multiplayer games rose to prominence at the heart of the global pandemic. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout and Among Us captured the attention of millions of players around the world. The game draws inspiration from game shows like Takeshi's Castle and Wipeout. It is perhaps the most cheerful-looking battle royale game yet. However, the cute demeanor of the player characters shouldn't distract you from the fact that it's still survival of the fittest. Only one player out of a total of 60 can take home the crown.
It's challenging, entertaining, and frustrating all at once. The seemingly simple game entices players with its cute graphics but the challenges are anything but easy. It's easy to get addicted to the pursuit of a game win as you try to beat out your fellow jellybean-creatures.

Care for a Walk? — Death Stranding
It's generally a bad idea to try and attempt to sum up a game from Hideo Kojima. The legendary Japanese game developer has been known for making amazing games that are hard to explain to your friends and family. Well, his first title since the end of the Metal Gear Solid franchise is no different. Death Stranding is classified as an action game because it's the easiest way to describe this complex game.
Players take the role of Same Porter Bridges, portrayed by Norman Reedus, a courier that's tasked with making several deliveries across wide landscapes. Much like many of Kojima's previous games, Death Stranding has a tinge of the supernatural. The game eventually found its way to the Steam storefront in July 2020 after initially launching for the PlayStation 4 in 2019.
This game is a bit of a hard sell in as much as not everyone enjoyed the games from the Metal Gear Solid franchise. However, it's still a well-crafted exploration action-adventure game from one of the most beloved video game developers so it's worth taking a look at.
Death Stranding is now half-off during the Steam Winter Sale only netting around USD 30. Get your walking shoes ready because you're going to need them a lot if you pick up Death Stranding.
