While the Memphis Grizzlies eliminated the Minnesota Timberwolves in six games in the playoffs, Ja Morant couldn't escape his haters who criticized him for his inconsistent plays. In fact, there are some who even questioned his impact after some performances where he struggled to score.

There has been a lot of talks on how the Grizzlies are a better team without Morant, a debate that started due to Memphis' winning record in the regular season when the star guard was out. Even though Ja had plenty of spectacular plays for the Grind City franchise in the first round, it still wasn't enough to shut down his critics.

With that said, Morant made sure to remind his numbers against the Timberwolves to everyone thinking he was terrible in the series. For those not aware, the 22-year-old averaged a near triple-double of 21.5 points, 8.7 rebounds, 10.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.

Ja Morant didn't have the best series, but in no way he was not impactful. One could say that he was unable to score that much as the Timberwolves' defense focused on him. Still, he found a way to take advantage of that as proven by his assist numbers.

The playoffs is about winning rather than individual scoring, and Morant certainly understands that.

Also, it is wrong to forget how he delivered the game-winner for the Grizzlies in Game 5, even scoring the final 13 points of the Grizzlies. Sure, there's more he can improve, but he has undoubtedly proven himself as a legitimate superstar who can step up when it matters most.

Hopefully, Morant can keep silencing his doubters when they play the Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference Semifinals.
