Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant is one of the more exciting rookies to watch in the league. His vision — combined with his scoring — makes him one of the best young playmakers in the league. However, even a guy like him has a Christmas wish list. In this case, the list contains traits other players have that he wish he has for himself.

So what skills does the perfect NBA player have for one Ja Morant? Joe Vardon of The Athletic found out, and what he discovered was a pretty interesting set of skills.

Oh, you have Memphis Grizzlies rookie Ja Morant in your office Secret Santa pool? Here’s what’s on his Christmas list, his first NBA list: Kyrie’s handle. LeBron’s strength. Curry’s shooting. KD’s height, and Chris Paul’s court vision.

What Morant placed in his basketball wish list is definitely a specific set of skills that would make him an unstoppable offensive force. Having Kyrie Irving's handles and Stephen Curry's shot alone would make anyone an unstoppable force in the league. Having all of those skills in one person would make him a tough player to stop.

However, life is not fair and would not give everything you could want. If Morant could have one thing from all of those, however, he made a very surprising choice.

“If I had to pick, I’d say LeBron’s strength, because I feel it would be easier to finish through contact,” Morant said in a Christmas special of an interview with The Athletic. “Come off ball screens, holding somebody, it’s just a lot. So I would take that.”

This would basically make him a younger Eric Bledsoe with a much better court vision. Just thinking about that would have been enough to give Memphis fans chills.

Morant is already doing well on his own, though. He's become a heavy favorite to win Rookie of the Year as he's averaging 18 points, three rebounds, and seven assists a game.
