The Memphis Grizzlies officially clinched the Southwest Division title with Wednesday's win against the San Antonio Spurs, and sure enough, superstar guard Ja Morant couldn't be any prouder.

On Twitter, Morant shared his excitement as the Grizzlies achieved something they have never done before in franchise history. It's the first time they clinched the division title, and while it's a little victory in their quest for a championship, it is definitely worth celebrating.

In a follow-up post, Ja Morant also couldn't help but emphasize what led to the turnaround that shocked the whole NBA: culture. The Grizzlies might be a “one-star” team on paper, but the culture they established has allowed Desmond Bane, Dillon Brooks, Jaren Jackson Jr., Steven Adams and the whole team to succeed when their numbers are called upon.

Another proof of that culture Morant is talking about? Well, the Grizzlies are now 19-2 in games without him. He was sidelined once again versus the Spurs, but Memphis managed to extend their winning streak to six with a hard-earned 112-111 victory.

No one saw the Grizzlies skipping steps in their rebuild and becoming a top seed in the tough West. But here they are now, forcing the league to take notice and sending a warning to the 29 other franchises that they shouldn't be taken lightly.

The job is far from over for Morant and co. However, there is no doubt they have taken significant steps in the right direction.
