Before the NBA trade deadline, Andre Iguodala had some heated twitter exchanges with Ja Morant and his Memphis Grizzlies teammate Dillon Brooks.

Morant and Brooks apparently didn't appreciate Iguodala intentionally sitting out with the Grizzlies and hoped that he would get traded.

Now, in a recent interview with Rachel Nichols of ESPN, Morant spoke out about the beef he had with Iguodala.

“I just felt like we weren't going to take any disrespect, however, I still have respect for him as a person and player, he's a vet in this league”, Morant said in the interview. “But I just didn't respect how he (Iguadala) handled it on national television. I felt like there could have been a better way to handle the situation. But it's in the past we just got to focus on who we have on our team now and keep pushing.”

In a recent postgame interview, Iguodala expressed that he also respects the young Grizzlies team.

“I love all those guys, I’ve been watching them play. Dillon has been playing really well this year. And Ja is Rookie of the Year. Been watching him. Phenomenal talent,” the new Heat swingman said.

Regardless, the Grizzlies ended up fulfilling Andre Iguodalas' wish by trading him to the Miami Heat.

Despite their young team, Memphis has played phenomenal this season. They are currently the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 28-26 record.

Ja Morant has played a vital role in the Grizzlies' success, as he's averaging 17.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 7.1 assists in 29 minutes. The 20-year-old is also the front-runner for the 2020 Rookie of the Year Award.
