Joakim Noah is back in the NBA and being an impact player with the Memphis Grizzlies. After getting waived by the New York Knicks earlier in the season, Noah signed with the Grizzlies and has been playing some of the best basketball of his career in a very long time.

In his latest Instagram post, Noah posted a video of him talking about what it means to play in the NBA again, and he posted a caption saying, “Shout-out Phil Jackson.”

Phil Jackson gave Joakim Noah a four-year, $72.59 million contract with the Knicks in the summer of 2016. Noah only played in 53 games with the Knicks. Jackson and New York parted ways in 2017.

Is Noah trolling the Knicks for not playing him and praising Jackson for believing in him? It's possible. What we do know is that the former Defensive Player of the Year is having a resurgence with the Grizzlies.

The two-time All-Star is averaging 6.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game with Memphis while shooting 51.9 percent from the field and 71.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Assuming he stays healthy and finishes out the season strong, Noah could join a contender in the summer.

We'll see what happens with the former Chicago Bull in the offseason, but it's good to see Noah back in the NBA and playing well.
