Memphis Grizzlies All-Star center Marc Gasol is looking forward to playing with Joakim Noah. The Grizzlies are reportedly signing Noah to a veteran's minimum contract, and his toughness and grit will definitely bode well in Memphis.

Antoine Bancharel of Basket-Infos.com sat down with Gasol as he talked about how excited he is to have Noah on board:

“Noah will give us experience, physical play, capability as a passer and creator, and another voice in the locker room. He’s the type of player that will adapt perfectly to our team. He plays with a lot of intensity, with a lot of passion and he places a lot of emphasis on defense. I liked [the signing] a lot. He knows how to make players around him better.”

With the exception of Gasol's outstanding perimeter shooting, he and Noah have almost a similar game. They both love to involve their teammates as their passing skills are quite extraordinary for frontcourt players. Obviously, Noah will serve a backup role for the Spanish center, but it would be intriguing if they share frontcourt duties together on the floor. Gasol addressed that:

“We can play together. He already did it with Pau Gasol in Chicago and I know Pau liked sharing the floor with him. I can play like a 4 or a 5. I would like to share the floor with him at times when we want to play with a supersized five.”

Noah's veteran presence and leadership will also be a welcome sight for the Grizzlies' young big men, specifically rookie Jaren Jackson Jr.
