There has been some speculations recently about the University of Hawaii head coach Todd Graham and how he treats some of his players.

There have been multiple reports about the Hawaii coach being verbally abusive and just not being a good coach and guy to be around, whether that be on the football field, or in the locker room. Many former players have come out and expressed just how upset they are with how things went at Hawaii.

Former Hawaii defensive back Leonard Lee told The Athletic about what Todd Graham used to do and how he treated his players at Hawaii,

‘Todd Graham likes to disguise it as discipline, the way he treats us and talks to us… The verbal abuse he has towards us, it's stuff I wish I could share, but it's too vulgar to share in this setting. Praying for him for two years was incredibly mentally draining… It was hard to wake up and go do something you love with a guy like that in charge. The only way to describe him is a tyrant.”

The Hawaii football team did not have an impressive season as they went 6-7 overall and 3-5 in their conference. Factor in now that they are going to have to deal with a coach who is probably going to get fired, and the program doesn't look like it's going to be headed in the right direction in the next few seasons. Many incoming recruits and current players are certainly not going to want to play for Graham due to his abusive mindset.
