The Atlanta Hawks hilariously had their own Shaqtin' a Fool moment midway through their game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night. Hawks guard Trae Young tried to locate his teammate in Bogdan Bogdanovic as he pushed the ball down the floor with 4:53 minutes left in the second quarter.

However, the Serbian swingman already tripped before he even received the pass as the ball eventually hit him in the head. After the game, Bogdanovic laughed off the incident as he threw a playful banter to Young on Twitter.

The former All-Star guard jokingly responded by saying that Bogdanovic was open when he tried to make the pass. After the botched play, maybe Young can think of a better excuse next time around.

On Monday night, the two teams figured in a tight exchange as both sides were eager to grab a win and climb their respective standings heading to the playoffs. However, the Hawks proved to be the better team as three players notched 20+ points to power the squad to a 123-114 victory.

Danilo Gallinari led with 28 points and eight rebounds while Bogdanovic had 25 points. Young added 21 points, six rebounds, and 11 assists for Atlanta's winning cause. With the triumph, the team improved to a 36-30 record to nab the fifth spot in the Eastern Conference.

On the other hand, the loss suffered by the Trail Blazers had serious implications as they have dropped to the seventh spot in the West with a 36-29 record, thus putting them in danger of participating in the play-in tournament.

With an ongoing two-game winning streak, the Hawks are still aiming to overtake the New York Knicks who are sitting at the fourth spot in the East with a 37-28 record. Hopefully, the team won't get to have more Shaqtin' a Fool moments in their coming games as they aim to finish their regular season campaign on a strong note.
