Karma announced in May 2020 that she was attending Spelman College, named the number one HBCU by U.S. News & World Report.

“Ahh I am so late but it’s okay😂 Today I celebrate my last day of high school. All of the Spelmanites in my life are screaming with joy! Thank you, thank you, A MILLION thank yous to my parents, my sisters, my teachers, my tatas, my aunties, my uncles, my nenas, and my friends for preparing me for this next stage in my life. I have a village of people rooting for me and I thank God for all of you. I am proud to announce that I will be attending the illustrious Spelman College and I am blessed to continue in the legacy of my mother🤍💙 Can’t wait to meet all of my sisters,” she said in the caption of her post announcing her decision to attend Spelman College.

Karma is a creative who aspires to create films and tell stories. She graduated from Spelman with a degree in documentary filmmaking. She spoke about her future aspirations post-college in comments on The Jaime Dee Show in 2023.

“I think the dream is definitely to produce and to continue to make new films and tell new stories. Especially [stories] that represent people that look like me, because that's what this world needs…I am on the journey of just continuing in the arts.”

Ironically, her father collaborated with Netflix to launch Karma's World in 2023. The animated show centers on Karma Grant, a girl navigating middle school, discovering how her music can empower her to stay authentic and resilient amidst challenges.

In an interview with Shoutout Atlanta, she spoke about the purpose behind her filmmaking.

“I like to say my superpower is my ability to listen to diverse voices and tell authentic stories that need to be heard. My dream is to work as a film producer on feature length films to showcase unique stories and bring new voices to the screen.”

Karma Bridges, part of the group of celebrity children, made a notable choice to start their college journey at HBCUs. This group includes the oldest children of actor Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, as well as the children of writer/comedian Chris Spencer. They have successfully completed their first year at Howard University. Also, the daughter of rapper and Love & Hip Hop star Lil' Scrappy recently finished her freshman year at Savannah State University. Rich Paul's daughter graduated from Clark Atlanta University this past weekend and Rapper Trick Daddy's son and Barry Sanders' son Nigel Sanders graduated from Florida A&M and Howard University respectively earlier this month.
