Bam Adebayo believes ‘fast learner’ Tyler Herro will fit in with Heat

The Miami Heat made a big splash by adding All-Star forward Jimmy Butler, but one move that still looks underrated is drafting point guard Tyler Herro. Bam Adebayo agrees.

The Heat selected Herro with the 13th pick in this year’s draft, and the 19-year-old Kentucky product immediately impressed in his Summer League stint. Miami team president Pat Riley has already said that Herro has the potential to be an All-Star, but he’s not the only one who has good things to say about the rookie.

In an interview with Miami Herald’s Anthony Chiang, Heat forward Bam Abedayo praised Herro for being a fast learner, adding that he’ll have little to no problem fitting in with Miami.

“[He’s a] fast learner. He wants to soak in information. When I was talking to him in summer league, it seemed like he really wanted to learn and he went out there and changed it just like us. So I feel like he’ll fit in with us.”

Tyler Herro will need all the knowledge he can get from his teammates and other NBA players. He  is already being seen as the team’s point guard of the future. A lot is expected from him at a very young age, but that’s part of being one of the top picks in the NBA.

If there’s one thing Herro doesn’t lack, it’s confidence. He believes he’ll be able to do a lot of great things for the Heat, and using the things he’s learned this summer will make it easier for him to improve and adjust.
