Miami Heat fans held their breathe when Victor Oladipo came down hobbling midway through the fourth quarter of their 110-104 win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Oladipo landed awkwardly and immediately grabbed his right knee. He left the game and quickly made his way back to the locker room.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra mentioned after the game that Oladipo be evaluated and there is still no official diagnosis on the 28-year old's injury.

Nevertheless, Bam Adebayo gave Heat fans a pretty optimistic update, saying Oladipo was in good spirits after their 6-point victory over the defending champs.

You never want to see anyone go down with an injury, especially in the knee area. It was definitely awful to see Oladipo limping like that as we walked back down the floor and into the dugout, considering he is just a little over a year removed from returning from a torn quadriceps tendon on the same knee he landed awkwardly on against the Lakers.

The Heat certainly don't want to see Oladipo go down, especially since they just acquired him at the trade deadline a couple of weeks ago. The 2-time All-Star figures to be a major part of their core as they look to contend for an NBA championship within the next few years.

Oladipo has struggled since returning from the major knee injury he suffered midway through the 2019-20 season while still part of the Indiana Pacers. In four games with the Heat, the 6-foot-4 guard is averaging just 12.0 points while struggling mightily from the field, shooting just 37.2 percent.

Hopefully Oladipo is okay and will be able to stay healthy so he can finally get his career back on track.
