The Miami Heat are off to a strong start this season, and a big part of that is the emergence of Tyler Herro. The high-scoring guard has been having a revenge tour after he got slammed in his sophomore year for a mediocre showing.

Herro's numbers across the board have been impressive, even contributing in the rebounding department. As of posting, the Heat are the best rebounding team in the NBA with 48.6 boards per game, with six guys averaging at least four per outing led by the 11.2 of Bam Adebayo.

Adebayo said it's his job to get as many caroms as he can for the Heat, and if that means getting into it with their guards in a rebound battle, then so be it (via Heavy).

“You got the guards in there trying to steal a rebound. A lot of times I try to elbow them in the head. Don’t get my rebound. Tyler don’t get paid to rebound.”

Of course, the Heat big man was only joking. In fact, he credited Herro and his other teammates for their aggressiveness in helping out on the glass.

“That’s the physicality we’ve got this year. You got P.J. down low. You got ‘Kief (Markieff Morris) down low. You got Tyler every once in a while going down there and trying to steal a rebound. We go after 50-50 balls. That’s what we live by, those in-between balls. Who’s the first person to get it?”

The Heat hold an 8-5 record and will take on the surging Washington Wizards on Thursday.
