When Jimmy Butler was forced to sit out the second half of Game 3 against the Boston Celtics because of a knee injury, it was Bam Adebayo who took over and led the Miami Heat to victory. Naturally after witnessing such incredible performance, Chris Bosh has nothing but high praise for the big man.

Adebayo exploded for 31 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to lead Miami to a 109-103 victory during Saturday's contest. He also had four steals and one block, finishing with a game-high +17 in the plus-minus box score.

In an interview with BroBible, Bosh gave Adebayo the ultimate compliment, highlighting how he possesses the qualities to be that “next guy” for the Heat.

“First off it’s about how good of a person he is, how much he wants to work to be great. I think those are the main aspects contributes he needs as a player and as a person to survive in the league. He’s a competitor, and I mean, just his skill set and he has so much room to grow. He can put the ball on the floor, he can defend, and he just wants to be great. And I think those are the major qualities that great Heat players embody, and he’s going to be the next guy,” Bosh said.

Jimmy Butler is no doubt the leader of the Heat, but it is quite clear Bam Adebayo has been criminally underrated as well. Fortunately, he made a lot of noise with his Game 3 performance that gave them a 2-1 lead in the series.

As Chris Bosh said it, Adebayo has proven that he has what it takes to be a true superstar in the NBA, and it certainly won't be long before the whole NBA takes notice and gives him the respect he deserves.
