Miami Heat guards Dwyane Wade and Justise Winslow are actually competing against each other in a season-long dunk contest.

After their loss to the Toronto Raptors last Sunday, Wade shared the details about his on-going dunk contest with Winslow. Per WPLG Local 10 Sports, as transcribed by UPROXX, the three-time champion said:

“Me and Justise got a dunk count going on for the year of how’s gonna get the most. He’s 22, and I’m 37, and I’m up by one, so I was staring at him. Anytime he dunks, he stares at me and vice versa, so I was looking for him on the bench. I’m winning right now.”

Wade did not specify how many dunks he's made. He simply said that he was winning over Winslow. But according to the statistics, Wade just has 10 dunks for the year. Winslow, meanwhile, has 13. So is Wade bluffing or are the statistics not accurate?

Either way, it should be exciting to see who wins the mini-game between the two Heat players. The only sad thing about it is that Wade just revealed the details of the contest with less than 20 games remaining. But now that he's made it official, Heat fans should keep their eyes peeled for Wade or Winslow slam dunks.
