The Miami Heat just lost starting point guard Goran Dragic for up to two months, but head coach Erik Spoelstra is just glad his floor general can put an end to what's been a nagging knee injury throughout the season.

“We feel good about the fact that there's a solution now,” said Spoelstra, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “It was frustrating for him and all parties, trying to figure out what was going on.

“Goran is as dedicated as anybody, so he was doing treatment around the clock. It just wasn't responding the way he wanted it to, and he pushed it all the way before we realized that it wouldn't get better, and we went with the solution and the solution is the most promising, so that he can deal with it and be back with us this season.”

Dragic underwent an arthroscopic knee surgery Wednesday after being sidelined three different times with this same injury. He's hoping he will be back by the All-Star Game on Feb. 17.

The 32-year-old point guard had his knee drained two weeks ago, but he had been unable to play in consecutive games since. He was recently pulled from the team's lineup for the back end of a six-game road trip, missing the last three games.

While Dragic is out for the next two months, the Heat could potentially get back Dion Waiters soon, who was cleared for full contact earlier on Wednesday, making his integration possible in the foreseeable future.
