The Miami Heat have not had the best of starts to this season so far, yet they are still in the thick of things in the Eastern Conference. However, Erik Spoelstra is obviously not satisfied with his team's performances, especially with the trend he's seen in their first 16 games.

The South Beach team has been struggling in almost all the third quarters of their games, and the veteran head coach is left perplexed on how to address it. He even said recently, via Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel, that they may not head to the locker room anymore in their game, to try and see if it will work wonders for them.

While Erik Spoelstra may have exaggerated with his comments, he may also have said it in hopes of sending a strong message to his players that he is truly displeased with how they have been playing during third quarters. If there's any good news for the Heat at this point though, they still have 66 games left on their schedule, which is more than enough for them to turn around their fortunes, and compete for a playoff spot.

Spoelstra and the Heat will return to action on Wednesday when they face off against the red-hot Boston Celtics, and it will be very interesting to see if there will be a change in the demeanor of the players. Their performance during the third quarter is definitely worth keeping an eye on, as it could be the difference between winning and losing on the night for them.
