Though they've only been teammates for this one season, Miami Heat guards Jimmy Butler and Goran Dragic have already developed a tight bond. And as friends often do, they like to rib one another from time to time.

Dragic recently joined Rohan Nadkarni of Sports Illustrated for a wide-ranging interview. Amid their discussion, the Slovenian-born guard admitted that he picks on Butler every now and then. But how did these two stars from different nations develop such a quick bond? One major factor has been their shared love of footy (soccer):

“If I’m honest. I don’t know, it just happened,” Dragic said of the friendship he's developed with Butler, via SI.com. “He loves soccer, he’s a really funny dude, he’s a character, and I’m not afraid to tease him back.”

Dragic also noted that he picks on Butler's mustache, which is a relatively new addition for the Heat star:

“I always tease him about PSG, his soccer team,” Dragic says. “We watched the Champions League final together, and actually that time I didn’t tease him, he was in a bad mood. I thought, ‘Now is not a good time.’ With his Big Face coffee, I tell him ‘It’s too expensive. I’m not coming to your coffee shop.’ I tease him about his mustache, too. I even bought him a mustache gel, or whatever you call it. He never uses it.”

Antics aside, the Heat are enjoying a fantastic ride through the Eastern Conference Playoffs. They faced the Indiana Pacers in the first round, resulting in 4-0 sweep. In the second round, Miami was matched up against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks — a series that was won in five games. Now Dragic, Butler and the Heat are on to the Eastern Conference Finals, where they'll meet the Boston Celtics.

Game 1 between the Heat and Celtics is set to tip at 6:40 p.m. ET on Tuesday, with ESPN having live broadcast coverage.
