Over the last few weeks, Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside has been quite vocal over social media getting into verbal jabs back and forth with a few other players in the league. One of which was an exchange with Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert.

It can be recalled that the two went at each other during this past offseason while All-Star forward Gordon Hayward was in the middle of his decision-making process in free agency wherein both Heat and Jazz were among his options. Hassan Whiteside compared Utah's recent success to Miami's recent titles while Rudy Gobert compared the Heat to garbage.

Despite all that, Whiteside downplayed the budding rivalry between him and Gobert, according to Kyle Goon of the Salt Lake Tribune.

At the same time, Gobert has also pushed aside any notion that the two hold any ill will toward each other off the court. It was simply an exchange between them that did receive much attention, being popular public figures.

However, Rudy Gobert isn't the only player that Hassan Whiteside has engaged in a Twitter exchange. Back in the preseason, Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid had his own moment with the Heat center.

Nevertheless, this makes for an intriguing storyline whenever Whiteside and Gobert take the court against each other one more time.
