Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler and Minnesota Timberwolves rising star Anthony Edwards got heated after a minor physical interaction led to some exchange of words.

In the closing seconds of the third quarter, Butler forced an Edwards turnover after the Timberwolves guard was called for a traveling violation. The Heat leader then proceeded to take the ball away from Edwards, which the youngster clearly didn't like.

Ant-Man then slightly pushed Butler from behind, which led to their heated exchange. Fortunately, the officials and their teammates stepped in before things escalate.

The Heat and Timberwolves figured in a tight contest, so it's not surprising for the two to be on the edge as they tried to lead their respective teams to victory.

However, it seems like more and more NBA players are getting into fights and altercations with one another.

Before the Heat-Timberwolves incident, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Detroit Pistons big man Isaiah Stewart also got into it after a dirty play. To recall, after LeBron (inadvertently?) elbowed Stewart to the face, the Detroit youngster didn't like it and even confronted the veteran forward. It resulted to suspension and fines for both players.

Fortunately, Butler and Edwards' exchange was only minor and was seemingly brought by the their competitiveness.
