The Miami Heat are entering a big summer as they've got franchise free agents to consider in Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem, as well as a reportedly worrisome center in Hassan Whiteside. Could the Heat's future, however, also include a former member of their team in LeBron James? Miami is rumored to be on the the number of destinations James could consider in free agency, and what better and more familiar place to be than South Beach?

While appearing at an event in Miami, longtime-forward Udonis Haslem spoke to Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel about the potential of bringing James back to the city where he won his first two NBA Championship.

“Obviously, he was getting ready for the NBA Finals,” Haslem said. “But there are great pieces here and we all know the city loves him and we all know what he’s capable of doing.

“I'm sure the organization and I would love to have him. But, as a friend, once again, I support LeBron with whatever decision he makes. So we’ll see.”

While Haslem hasn't mentioned that James indicated he wants or is interested in a return to South Beach, Haslem says he's more than open to helping in recruiting process.

“Am I going to be a part of the recruiting process? Hell yeah,” he said. “If he reaches out and we talk, I’m going to throw it out there. But you just never know.”

Haslem played sparingly in the 2018-19 season, and has also done so the last couple of seasons, but maintains a strong relationship with both Dwyane Wade and James.
