The Miami Heat are dealing with some notable injuries as they fight for a playoff spot. Jimmy Butler is out for Sunday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, while Victor Oladipo has been out with a knee injury.

It has been unclear as to when exactly Oladipo will return to the lineup for Miami, with Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra being rather cryptic about the guard's status. That happened again on Sunday ahead of the Nets game:

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski claimed Sunday Oladipo will be back at some point, but it's unclear when that will be:

All this vagueness isn't what Heat fans are hoping to hear, as Oladipo could be a game-changer for Miami in the playoffs. When healthy, he's a solid player who can serve as a great complement to Jimmy Butler, providing additional leadership to the rest of the Heat's roster.

For now, we'll have to wait a bit longer before knowing when exactly Oladipo will return. The best-case scenario is the Heat clinch a playoff berth and avoid the play-in tournament altogether, with Oladipo healthy and fully ready to roll by that point to provide a boost for the playoffs.

But at this point it seems as if everybody is just kind of guessing on Oladipo's status. The Heat very well could just be playing it safe right now, but if Oladipo is going to return, the hope is it's sooner rather than later so the team can build some chemistry with their trade deadline acquisition.
