With James Harden's cloudy future with the Houston Rockets, several teams have emerged as rumored landing spots for the former league MVP. One team that has gained significant momentum in the Harden trade chatter is the Miami Heat.
Both Harden and the Heat reportedly have mutual interest, and rumors suggest that South Beach franchise could be willing to part ways with promising young stud Tyler Herro to land The Beard in a potential deal with Houston.

But the source disputed any suggestion that Heat guard Tyler Herro would be untouchable in such a deal. Though the Heat loves Herro, the source advised against any conclusion that he wouldn’t be made available in a Harden deal if serious talks eventually happen. He would be in play.
There have been reports that Miami is putting an “untouchable” tag on the 20-year-old, who had a terrific Finals run with the Heat in the Orlando bubble. Herro has certainly become a favorite in the organization because of his swag, work ethic and incredibly high upside. The no. 13 overall pick of the 2019 NBA Draft was a huge part of the team's incredible playoffs, even dropping a hot 37 points in the Eastern Conference Finals.
However, if the Rockets officially put James Harden on the table, the defending Eastern Conference champions will have a lot to ponder about if they would engage Houston in trade talks with Herro being the centerpiece of the deal. No doubt Harden would be a major upgrade right and would solidify the Heat's standing as the team to beat in the East.
However, by doing so, they would sacrifice the incredible chemistry that helped them reach the NBA Finals last season, which is certainly a testy situation for Pat Riley and company.
