Udonis Haslem is enjoying Dwyane Wade’s “last dance” while also helping the younger players on this Miami Heat with the travails of a full season of NBA action.

Though Haslem is not contributing much on the court this year in his 15th season with the Heat, he did score at home for the first time this season. Interestingly, that was only Haslem's third field goal of the season and first this 2019.

Both of these teams are fighting for a playoff spot, so the Pistons getting rolled over in Miami is a fairly surprising result.

However, one thing that is not surprising is Heat fans’ adoration of Udonis Haslem, who has been with the team through thick and thin and is a three-time NBA champion alongside his running mate Wade.

The crowd reacted to Haslem’s fadeaway jumper as if he had just drilled a game-winning shot in the NBA Finals, and his teammates responded accordingly as well.

With good reason, too.

Udonis Haslem is behind only Dirk Nowitzki this year in terms of tenure with the same organization. Nowitzki, of course, has been with the Dallas Mavericks for 20 seasons, but Haslem is only 5 seasons behind Dirk. Number three on the list is Mike Conley with the Grizzlies.

Haslem is all over Miami's career leaderboard, and he trails only D-Wade in both games and minutes played. However, the 38-year-old forward is first in Heat history in offensive rebounds (1604), defensive rebounds (4115) and total rebounds (5719) — eclipsing Hall of Famer Alonzo Mourning in all three categories.

Haslem deserves as much love as possible from the Heat faithful as his career winds down, and he got it Wednesday night.
