The Miami Heat have dropped the first two games of the 2020 NBA Finals against the Los Angeles Lakers. Judging by this intriguing LeBron James statistic, it looks like his former team is in more trouble than they might realize.

LeBron James has gone to the Finals 10 times in his storied 17th career. While his career Finals record of 3-6 leaves a lot to be desired, it's surprising that this is the first time that his team won the first two games of their best-of-seven final series.

Furthermore, James-led teams have gone undefeated so far in the playoffs after going up 2-0.

The King certainly had a lot to do with the Purple and Gold's impressive 124-114 victory against the Heat at the AdventHealth Arena on Friday. James poured in a game-best 33 points, and narrowly missed yet another triple-double with nine rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and one block in 39 minutes of action.

While LeBron James certainly had a rough outing during his earlier Finals experiences, it is worth noting that he's certainly more composed now in his 17th season in the league. He has seen it all and understands just how hard it is to win a Larry O'Brien trophy.

It also plays heavily in his favor that he has an amazing running mate this year – fellow superstar Anthony Davis.

Going up 2-0 against the gritty Heat team is a great accomplishment for James and the Lakers, but they understand that the job is not done until they get to four victories.

History is certainly on James' side on this one, and he might very well be on his way to his fourth NBA title.
