From the developers of Pokemon Unite, there is a new MOBA in town. It is time to put a mark on your calendars as Honor of Kings (HoK) is set to have a global release date. From the game’s release date and pre-registration details, here is everything you need to know about the global release of Honor of Kings.
Honor of Kings Release Date: June 6, 2024
Honor of Kings is a free-to-play mobile MOBA game developed by TiMi Studio Group, a subsidiary of Tencent Games. The game was originally published in China in 2015, where it earned the majority of its popularity, and later expanded to Brazil.
Honor of Kings’ global release date is on June 20, 2024.
Despite being region-locked at the moment, over 200 million registered users and more than 100 million daily players play the game. Furthermore, it also has a competitive esports scene, with the upcoming Esports World Cup event in Riyadh as its biggest event to date.
HoK’s Gameplay
So what is the gameplay of Hok?
For starters, it is a standard five-versus-five MOBA game at its core, just like popular MOBA titles such as DoTA 2, League of Legends, and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang. The game offers over 85 legendary heroes at global launch which can be used in HoK’s different modes.
Speaking of its modes, HoK has multiple modes players can experience. HoK has Ranked, Solo, Championship, Boot Camp, Simulation, and Solo Practice modes to name a few.
Going back to the legendary heroes, there are five primary roles in the game. These are the Clash Laner, the Jungler, the Mid Laner, the Farm Laner, and the Roamer. Each of these roles must work in unison to topple down the enemy’s base.
All in all, if you’ve played other MOBA titles, or even HoK’s predecessor Arena of Valor, it’s basically that but with a different set of characters.
How to Pre-Register HoK
If you want to play the game right on its global release date, here is a step-by-step guide on how to pre-register in Honor of Kings:
- Grab your mobile device of choice, may it be an Android or Apple product.
- Go to the official Honor of Kings Pre-Registration page. Alternatively, you can go to the designated pre-registration page for the Google Play store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
- Fill in the required details needed or just simply click the pre-order button for the Google Play store for Android devices or the Apple App Store for iOS devices.
- Just simply wait for the confirmation notification.
After following those steps above, voila! You are now pre-registered for the Honor of Kings global release.
But wait there’s more! From May 31, all players who pre-registered HoK, along with its current player base, can participate in a lotto event. Players who are lucky enough can win the following prizes:
- Grand Prize – Full Hero with full Skin privileges
- 1st Runner-up Prize – 500 Limited Times Tokens
- 2nd Runner-up Prize – 18,888 Starstones
- Sunshine Blessing Prize – 200 Diamonds for all participants
Furthermore, if the HoK pre-registration campaign reaches the three million pre-registration milestone, everyone can claim Luban No. 7 to join everyone’s teams. Additionally, everyone will be given a 4-Choose-1 free skin plus an all-hero trial if it reaches the five million milestone.
Currently, as of this article’s writing, pre-registration has surpassed both the one million and two million pre-registration milestones. Therefore, everyone is going to get a million diamonds and two million Arcana Fragments.
