It recently came out that the Charlotte Hornets are willing to trade point guard Kemba Walker. Walker has played his entire career with the Hornets, and he has been a centerpiece of that team and a piece it wants to build around.

But with the news, it appears the Hornets are ready to blow it up and start over. That must have been surprising for many Hornets fans who believed the team would find a way to make it work with Walker.

But perhaps no one was more surprised to hear the report than Walker himself, who learned of the team's intentions in quite possibly the worst way imaginable, per Jordan Schultz of Yahoo! Sports.

It's never fun when a player hears their names in trade rumors. But those reports often come from journalists who snag unnamed sources, so many players don't pay much attention to them because they have no idea where it's coming from.

But in Walker's case, he knows exactly where it's coming from. If it's the organization that is willing to trade him, it's not unreasonable for Walker to expect at least some communication from the front office.

Or at the very least, Walker could have been informed by his agent. But it appears that not even his agent knew about the development. Walker and his people were truly in the dark about the entire situation.

Whether Walker gets traded or not remains to be seen. But at this point, it might be better for Walker to leave because it's difficult to imagine him being able to pay for a team that didn't communicate with him.
