LaMelo Ball had another solid outing for the Charlotte Hornets on Monday, as he led his team to a 119-94 blowout win against a shorthanded Houston Rockets side. More than a few folks were left wide-eyed by Ball's impressive performance, but perhaps none more than former NBA shooting guard Nick Young.

Young was so taken aback by Ball's effort that he came out with this bold claim on Twitter:

Leave it to Nick Young to come out with the most contentious statements. After all, this is the Nick Young we're talking about here. Swaggy P does not hold back.

Then again, Young does make a bit of a case here. Ball has been nothing short of outstanding since taking over the starting job in Charlotte. On Monday, the 19-year-old logged a game-high 24 points on 7-of-18 shooting to go along with seven boards, 10 assists, and seven triples. Wow.

Hornets head coach James Borrego has been starting Ball over the past five games, and the youngster has been paying dividends. Entering Monday's tilt against the Rockets, Ball has averaged 22.3 points (on 45.1 percent shooting), 5.8 rebounds, 5.8 assists, and 1.3 steals, while also connecting on 3.0 triples per game on a 48.0-percent clip.

Ball is currently the runaway leader for this season's Rookie of the Year award. The third overall pick of the 2020 NBA Draft has easily been the most impressive rookie thus far, and it isn't even close.

However, we're not sure if he's a Top 10 point guard in the league right now. Ball has been good, but probably not Top 10 good. Sorry, Nick.
