Charlotte Hornets guard Nicolas Batum is just starting to get his legs back after missing a handful of games to start the season, but he might be in danger of sitting out at least another game after sustaining an elbow injury during Wednesday’s 129-124 home win over the Washington Wizards.

While Batum hurt the same ailing left elbow that forced him to be sidelined for the Hornets’ first 12 games this season, it doesn’t seem that it’s serious enough for the Hornets to rule him out for an extended period. In fact, Batum is only deemed questionable for Friday’s road game against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, per Rick Bonnell of The Charlotte Observer.

Batum originally tore a ligament in his left elbow back in October during a preseason game against the Detroit Pistons. Batum re-aggravated his shoulder injury in the first half of the Wizards game. He didn’t play at all in the second half, finishing the contest with just two points, three rebounds, and an assist across 14 minutes of play.

If Batum ultimately gets ruled out for Friday’s matchup with the Cavs at Quicken Loans Arena, then Jeremy Lamb could expect a heavy dosage of minutes. Lamb assumed most of Batum’s minutes when the latter was out in the early goings of the season. So far this year, Lamb is averaging 16.5 points, 3.2 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per outing.
