The Charlotte Hornets have one of the worst records in the NBA this season. As of Wednesday, they are 8-29 and have the third-worst record in the Eastern Conference, just one game ahead of the Washington Wizards. As such, Hornets head coach Steve Clifford leads the list of NBA coaches to be fired, per the latest odds from BetOnline.

  • Steve Clifford: +300
  • Chauncey Billups: +325
  • Mony Williams: +350
  • Darvin Ham: +350
  • Wes Unseld Jr.: +800
  • Steve Kerr: +1200

The Hornets have struggled a ton this year and have lost five straight games entering Wednesday's clash against the New Orleans Pelicans. The only victory in the 2024 calendar year came against the Sacramento Kings on January 2.

LaMelo Ball, the Hornets' best player by far, has played in just 17 games due to an injury. Brandon Miller, Gordon Hayward, and Mark Williams have also dealt with injuries, so things have been going downhill for the Hornets.

Billups has the second-highest odds and the Trail Blazers have won just 10 games this season, although the young roster he is working with might allow him to hang around for a bit longer.

Two of the bigger names on this list are Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr and Los Angeles Lakers coach Darvin Ham. However, reports have stated that the Lakers aren't leaning toward moving on from Ham just yet while the Warriors' dysfunction has been the talk of the league.

If things don't improve quickly for the hornets, Clifford might not make it to the end of the season, or even the All-Star break. Only time will tell.
