The Charlotte Hornets notably selected point guard LaMelo Ball with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, a move that seems to already be paying dividends for the lowly Eastern Conference franchise despite it still being the preseason.

On Thursday evening against the Orlando Magic, Ball was putting his impressive and well-rounded array of skills on full display en route to knocking down three-pointer after three-pointer.

Of course, it was no secret that Ball always stepped onto the court with the utmost confidence prior to the Hornets selecting him early on last month. Ball has never been afraid to pull up from anywhere on the court while the soon-to-be rookie point guard hasn't shied away from the limelight in the slightest since initially arriving in Charlotte.

After traveling around the world playing professional basketball over the course of the last several years, the much-talked-about Ball has finally arrived on the NBA stage. Forgoing the more conventional route of playing only some high school and no collegiate basketball, it has all seemingly worked out for the Hornets newcomer in the end.

As evidenced by his usage in the preseason, the Hornets appear primed to let Ball run the show as a rookie in Charlotte in 2020-21.
