For the first time in the series, the game will feature difficulty levels for the game’s quick-time events, as well as a controllable 360-camera, a departure from the fixed-camera angles from previous games. The five playable characters will also be armed with a flashlight that can reveal new areas and secrets, as well as a weapon that they can use to defend themselves from the monster that stalks them.

The first game in the series, Man of Medan, received generally positive reviews and was even awarded multiple recognitions when it was released. The second game, Little Hope, however, wasn’t as well-received. Here’s to hoping that House of Ashes will redeem the series and set it back on track – otherwise we might end up not completing the entire 8-title series.
