The Pittsburgh Steelers did their part in securing a Week 18 victory against the Baltimore Ravens. They followed three straight losses with three straight wins to end the season, finishing the year with a 10-7 record. Head coach Mike Tomlin and the Steelers pushed their way toward playoff contention in the final leg of the season.

While the Steelers defeated the Ravens in Week 18, they still need help from other teams to punch their playoff ticket. There are a couple of scenarios that would put the Steelers in the Wild Card. A Miami Dolphins win over the Buffalo Bills would secure their chances, and a Tenessee Titans victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars would also ensure the Steelers making the postseason.

A rare scenario where the Jaguars and Titans tie would also benefit the Steelers. If the Bills lose and the Jaguars lose or tie, the Steelers could be the No. 6 seed, and if the Bills lose and the Jaguars win or the Jagurs win and the Bills lose, the Steelers would be the No. 7 seed. It's not too much of a complicated scenario as there's been in years past, especially with a team like the Steelers. They'll keep their eyes on just a few teams this season, rather than six or seven games having to fall in their favor.

The Steelers could potentially face the Miami Dolphins or the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs. A Steelers/Dolphins matchup is the likely scenario since the Steelers are most likely looking at the No. 7 seed right now.
