As most already know, J.J. Redick will not be participating in the 2016 NBA Finals.

His Los Angeles Clippers were eliminated from the playoffs a month prior in the first round. While that early exit from the postseason probably still stings, Redick is still a basketball fan and will likely watch the NBA Finals.

Prior to the start of Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the three-point specialist had an amusing outlook on his feelings for the event, courtesy of his own Facebook:

“As a basketball fan- I'm very excited for game 1 tonight! As a human though- I'm jealous and hope both teams lose.”

While most basketball players would probably simply say they're excited for the game, Redick made things a bit interesting by expressing his true feelings of not being involved on basketball's grandest stage.

Following the Golden State Warriors‘ Game 1 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers, the veteran shooting guard will have to sit through at least three more of these games as more and more jealousy creeps in.
