Houston Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney made headlines in Week 15 after calling Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Blake Bortles ā€œtrashā€ following their embarrassing 45-7 defeat. Bortles had since responded to Clowney's comments by essentially taking the high road and saying he was ā€˜fine' with it given Jacksonville's current playoff status.

However, Jaguars fans managed to take it a step further by sending trash cans to NRG Stadium as early Christmas gifts for Clowney.

It is safe to say the Jaguars and their fan base ultimately got the last laugh by replacing the Texans atop the AFC South. It is clear that these fans are enjoying every moment of clinching their first playoff berth in a decade.

Furthermore, it seems they have finally started to show some support for Bortles as their potential franchise quarterback.

The former third overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft is coming off perhaps the best game of his career after throwing for 326 yards and three touchdowns. He has also managed to post the highest passer rating of his career thus far in the 2017 NFL season (89.7).

That said, the Jaguars still have some work to do by maintaining their two-game lead ahead of the division rival Tennessee Titans. A good place to start would be with a win versus the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

As forĀ Jadeveon Clowney, he will continue to prep for the offseason.
