Ever since Gardner Minshew has become the starting quarterback for the Jacksonville Jaguars, he has become an overnight sensation in the NFL. Due to his impressive play on the field, Minshew was named the NFL's Offensive Rookie of the Month, per Ian Rapoport.

When Nick Foles was placed on injured reserve in Week 1, the majority of the NFL community believed that the Jaguars season was going to be derailed. Contrary to belief, their rookie sixth-round pick has lifted them to two consecutive wins.

Over the past month, Minshew has thrown for 905 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception. The Washington State product has been nothing short of remarkable as he has become a constant talking point in NFL circles.

When the season began, everyone believed that Kyler Murray and Josh Jacobs would come out of the gate running. Instead, it is Minshew who was the best offensive rookie in the first four weeks of the 2019 season.

In comparison, Murray has thrown for 1,071 yards, but he has thrown just four touchdowns and four interceptions. However, Murray hasn't been put into a great position to succeed behind an offensive line that is near the bottom of the league.

As for Minshew, the mustache-wearing gunslinger has taken the league by storm with his on-the-field performance. At the same time, his off-the-field entertainment has been legendary.

Above all, Minshew is showing that it doesn't matter when you are selected in the NFL draft to succeed. With that in mind, the rookie signal-caller has earned the right to be called the best offensive rookie in the first month of the season.
