The Jacksonville Jaguars have added Thomas Rawls to their lineup.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network has made the announcement on his Twitter page.

This comes as a bit of a surprise, especially since it was the Jaguars' starter Leonard Fournette that's been the subject of off-season trade speculation.

Rawls, who started his football career in college when he played for Michigan and, later, Central Michigan, was first signed to the Seattle Seahawks in 2015 as an undrafted free agent (though he was viewed as a late-round draft pick when going into the 2015 NFL draft). He was the team's former running back, and it's expected that he'll continue holding this position with the Jaguars.

Rawls currently holds the record for the most single-game rushing yards by a rookie running back, and the most rushing yards by an undrafted rookie in his first 6 games. He also holds the Seahawks' record for most yards in a postseason game, which he earned in January 2017.

Thomas Rawls, however, is not without his controversies, as he sat out two games while on Central Michigan's football team for his role in a robbery (which he later publicly denied involvement in).

His time with the Jaguars will mark the first time he's been on the field since 2017. As fans already know, he was signed by the New York Jets in March 2018, and was released in September of that year. Shortly after he was released by the Jets, he was signed by the Bengals, but was released a month later.
