The Jacksonville Jaguars did not exactly have a great season in 2018, and running back Leonard Fournette was one of the players who labored most.

Limited to just eight games due to injuries, Fournette rushed for just 439 yards and five touchdowns while averaging a meager 3.3 yards per carry, one season after he racked up 1,040 yards and nine scores during his rookie campaign.

But neither Fournette nor the Jaguars are allowing their disappointing 2018 campaign to affect their future.

“It’s a new everything, clean start for a lot of us guys,” Fournette said, according to Justin Barney of WJXT. “We’re not focused on the past, the past is the past. Couple things I did this offseason, I admitted to, yeah I was wrong, but we moved on and we are in a good place right now.”

Fournette added that Jacksonville has “hit the restart button” this offseason.

That is definitely the smart thing to do after the Jags won just five games this past year, one season after winning 10 games, capturing the AFC South division title and making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.

The Jaguars have tried to address their offense over the last few months, replacing the much-maligned Blake Bortles with Nick Foles under center.

While Jacksonville still has plenty of holes and a whole lot of unproven talent, the hope is that the Jaguars will certainly be better than their nearly lifeless 2018 campaign where they went just 2-10 over their final 12 contests.

Fournette, who played his collegiate football at LSU, was originally selected by the Jags with the fourth overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft.
