Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette lost his appeal to overturn his one-game suspension and will now miss Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.

Fournette was ejected from last Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills after getting into a fight with Shaq Lawson. Fournette appealed the suspension to James Thrash, a former NFL player, but he upheld it. Fournette will lose out on one game check and now could also lose out on the rest of the guarantees in his contract. Language in Fournette's contract says that the contract can be voided if he gets suspended.

It seems highly unlikely that the Jaguars would take advantage of that, but if there are more issues it's an option the team can explore.

Some people inside of the organization are concerned with the way Jaguars players conduct themselves on the field, including Tom Coughlin, who ripped the players earlier this week.

“A whistle, we’re in the Super Bowl,” Coughlin said via ProFootballTalk. “Let’s face it. Our numbers are down all over the place. Our sacks are down, our pressures are down, our turnovers are huge, our penalties — the way we behave on the field is ridiculous, our penalties.”

The Jaguars' offense has really struggled, and a big reason has been Fournette's inability to stay on the field. Between injuries and now the suspension, Fournette has had only 90 carries for 314 yards and four touchdowns.

Leonard Fournette will be eligible to return to the field next Thursday against the Tennessee Titans.
