Jacksonville Jaguars running back Leonard Fournette has found himself surrounded by trade rumors recently.

These rumors are not unfounded either. Jacksonville has been trading away a lot of its veteran talent, and the running back made it pretty clear he wasn't all that happy with the direction the franchise was headed in.

However, no trade has actually happened yet. Sure, there's a chance Fournette isn't playing in Jacksonville next season, but who he goes to is unknown. And at the same time, he could still be a member of the Jaguars in 2020.

With that in mind, Fournette (still just 25) took to Twitter to make an emphatic promise. He's making sure everyone knows he's still going to work just as hard no matter what.

2019 was an incredible year for the running back. Fournette set new career-highs in multiple categories. That included rushing yards (1,152), yards per carry (4.3), receptions (76) and receiving yards (522).

The only real part of his game that was down was the touchdowns, and it's hard to blame the running back for that. Jacksonville's offense wasn't really moving the ball all that much. Due to that, he wasn't getting too many opportunities close to the end zone.

The Jaguars suffered through another disappointing season in 2019. And as a result, shopped a few of their big-name players. Fournette was obviously on that list.

It's clear both sides would be okay with a breakup at this point. Nothing is guaranteed though.

It has to be somewhat comforting to the organization and the fans to know that Fournette is ready to work just as hard as always if he is indeed on the team in 2020.

No matter where he is, the best is yet to come for the running back. Expect to see even bigger and better numbers for Fournette as his career moves forward.
