Due to Urban Meyer's own stupidity and ignorance, he ruined 2021 for himself. He was exposed badly as the head coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars, one-upping the team's ineptitude with his own sideshow of ridiculous decisions and abysmal displays of leadership.

Embarrassing details about Meyer's stint as the head coach at Ohio State University recently surfaced. Marcus Williamson, one of his former players at OSU, revealed that the team had used a picture of Trayvon Martin, a teenage victim of gun violence at the hands of a neighborhood watchman, to enforce the program's ban on hoodies during practices.

After first denying that accusation, Meyer admitted to it. Per TMZ, the Jaguars' former coach claimed that he did not have knowledge of this until this week and pinned the blame on a support staffer.

There is no way to spin this in any direction for Meyer other than that he completely lacks awareness. His first claim that he had no knowledge of the picture shows his failure to adeptly run a program. Failing to own up to this error shows he is virtually incapable of taking criticism.

For the Jaguars, it'll be tough to undo all the wrongs Meyer did to the franchise. With his inability to inspire the team and showcase franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence's talents, Jacksonville's rebuild was set back. He was fired midseason in his first year with the Jaguars only after news broke that he physically assaulted his own kicker, Josh Lambo.
