The Jacksonville Jaguars are taking on the Buffalo Bills and have looked decent so far throughout this matchup. Unfortunately, star quarterback Trevor Lawrence went down with an ankle injury, creating concern for the hopes of this franchise.

According to Bleacher Report, Lawrence was taken to the locker room. He had to be helped off the field and things weren't looking good for the Jaguars' young quarterback. Typically, it's never a good sign when a player can't walk off the field on his own.

Luckily for the Jaguars, Lawrence was able to return to the lineup rather quickly. This has to be a huge sigh of relief for this franchise and the fan base. They've had a string of bad luck and need their young quarterback to remain healthy.

It's not like Jacksonville is going to make the playoffs this year. Their chances of upsetting the Bills are also pretty low, though the Jaguars are keeping it a close game. However, this franchise needs Lawrence on the field to continue developing and adjusting to the professional level.

It has been a tough week for the Jaguars. James Robinson was ruled out for this matchup, leaving the team with third-string running back Carlos Hyde. Additionally, the offense lost starting wide receiver DJ Chark for the season and rookie Travis Etienne.

They've been hit with the injury bug, but as long as Trevor Lawrence is healthy, the Jaguars should be able to develop their young roster effectively. We'll see how this game against the Bills plays out, as Jacksonville has kept it surprisingly close throughout the game.
