Since joining the Philadelphia 76ers, James Harden has brought multiple new elements to the team. While most expected his scoring to be a key takeaway, it's his facilitation that has stood out the most. Having an elite-level facilitator in the mix again continues to do wonders for the Sixers' offense.

What Harden's passing has done for the Sixers is make life easier for members of the supporting cast. Tyrese Maxey was the biggest benefactor early on, but now other players are starting to find their groove alongside their new All-Star teammate. Some of the more recent standouts include Georges Niang and Matisse Thybulle.

Given Harden's skill set, the Sixers can have a much more simple approach on the offensive end. Whenever they need a basket, all Doc Rivers has to do is get Harden in the pick-and-roll with just about anyone, and it should result in a good look. This approach was successful against the Chicago Bulls Monday, as the former MVP dished 14 assists en route to a win.

Leading up to Monday's matchup, Thybulle was rarely used as a screener for Harden. Rivers decided to experiment with the look more, and the results were promising. Thybulle was effective as a roller and finished the game with 12 points on 4-for-5 shooting from the floor.

After the game, Harden was asked about his growing chemistry with Thybulle. As the maestro of the offense, the All-Star guard feels it's on him to get everyone involved on that side of the floor.

“I try to find ways to help each individual teammate. Matisse [Thybulle] is a great defender. We all know that. He gets his hands on a lot of basketballs. I think it's my job to help him a little bit offensively, just like he helps us defensively, to where he can get some easy baskets and feel good about himself,” said Harden.

Finding ways for Thybulle to be effective on the offensive end has been a top priority for the Sixers, and they might finally have their answer. Between transition, off-ball cutting, and being a screener in the pick-and-roll, there are more than enough situations to keep him involved. This will prove to be beneficial in the playoffs when Thybulle will need to play big minutes as the Sixers' top perimeter defender.

In the entirety of this season, Thybulle has broken double digits in scoring eight times. Three of those five instances have come in the five games Harden has played in thus far. Getting production from him in that area might seem like a small issue to some, but it is extremely crucial. Also, the Sixers are a perfect 8-0 on the year in games where Thybulle notches at least 10 points.

Not only is Harden making things easier for the supporting cast, but he is making them better. Because of his IQ and passing ability, guys are being put in positions to contribute on offense nightly.

If the Sixers want to make a serious run in the postseason, they will need production from the supporting cast. Opposing teams' primary focus is going to be the All-Star duo, creating opportunities for others to do damage. Experimenting now to find out what works and doesn't will be crucial for the Sixers in this final stretch of the regular season.
