In a surprising move on Wednesday morning, the Houston Rockets orchestrated a trade to land All-Star point guard Chris Paul from the L.A. Clippers.

However, it doesn't appear that the Rockets are done making major moves as Brian Windhorst of ESPN is reporting that their new backcourt duo has begun recruiting Paul George to join the mix.

Prior to the trade to land Paul, the Rockets were rumored to be one of the several teams in on landing the Indiana Pacers All-Star forward via a trade this offseason. Now with the nine-time All-Star's addition to Houston, it could provide much more of an incentive for George to be open to a move to the Lone Star state.

This would create another big three in the league that could legitimately challenge the Golden State Warriors next season. However, all of this would likely have to hinge on George first agreeing to sign a long-term extension with the Rockets.

Keep in mind, general manager Daryl Morey is already taking a huge chance on Paul re-signing with the team as he's in the final year of his deal. That said, if things fall through with the pursuit of George, the team is also believed to be heavily interested in Carmelo Anthony if he is bought out by the New York Knicks.

There are plenty of different scenarios that could arise in the coming days, and the Rockets just made the first major splash of the offseason that may have just marked the beginning of an incredibly active summer around the league.
