On Wednesday night at Chesapeake Energy Arena, the Utah Jazz were able to play stout defense down the stretch and picked up a huge 102-95 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 2 of their best-of-seven series.

With the series now tied at 1-1 and headed back to Salt Lake City, Jazz rising star Donovan Mitchell promptly took to Twitter after the game and liked a tweet from NBA senior writer Michael Lee of Yahoo Sports that talked about teammate Ricky Rubio and his former team, the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Lee is certainly not wrong, as the Timberwolves came out in their game against the top-seeded Houston Rockets on Wednesday night and were blown out by a score of 102-82. Now, Minnesota, who made the playoffs this season for the first time since 2004, has to dig themselves out of a hole as the Rockets lead their series 2-0.

As for Mitchell, he had yet another great performance in just his second playoff game with a game-high 28 points on 10-of-25 shooting, six rebounds, and two assists in 43 minutes of action.

“I’ve got to keep applying pressuring, getting to the rim and even if I miss, as you saw on the boards, they were right there crashing and getting rebounds,” Mitchell said, per Jazz beat writer Eric Woodyard of the Deseret News. “Just being aggressive, getting to the rim, getting to the free-throw line. I didn’t have a free throw until the second half.”

Rubio had himself a great game as well and was second on the team in scoring with 22 points on 5-of-8 shooting from behind the arc, a team-high nine assists, seven rebounds, and one steal.

What was most impressive for the Jazz in Game 2 is the fact that their defense held Oklahoma City's star trio of Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Carmelo Anthony to a combined 0-of-14 shooting in the fourth quarter.
