Utah Jazz guard Rodney Hood has missed last Saturday's game against the L.A. Clippers because of a leg contusion, and it seems that Hood will also miss tonight's game against the Atlanta Hawks as well.

Hood has been playing through the pain in his leg since Friday's loss to the New York Knicks, but since the injury is diagnosed as merely a leg contusion, he is likely not to miss a lot of playing days.

However, this does mean that Jazz head coach Quin Snyder will have to force players like Alec Burcs and Joe Johnson to play more minutes.

There are a lot of things going on around Hood lately. He has been recently booed by the Jazz home crowd after missing a lot of shots.

There are also rumors of him being moved by the Jazz before the trade deadline. This primarily stems from the fact that he has been sent to the bench after the Jazz has given Donovan Mitchell a starting position.

But Hood still sees himself as a serviceable starter. He is averaging 16.7 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game for the Jazz. But he can also be quite unreliable because of injuries like this one. Tonight's game against the Hawks will be Hood's 10th missed game this season due to injuries.

So, it's also understandable that he is in the center of a lot of trade rumors as the NBA trade deadline approaches.
