Utah Jazz shooting guard Donovan Mitchell scored 31 points Friday night against the Philadelphia 76ers, but the second-year guard only shot 13-of-35 from the field, 1-of-11 from beyond the arc, and racked up zero assists, putting his name in a category with Carmelo Anthony.

In the loss to the Sixers, Mitchell became just the second player with 35 field-goal attempts and zero assists in the last 20 years. Carmelo Anthony was the other player to do that.

Donovan Mitchell averages 4.3 assists per game on the season. He's not a selfish player by any means. However, the 22-year-old was getting booed every time he touched the ball Friday by Sixers fans. If you recall, Mitchell had a lot of comments last season about the Rookie of the Year award that was eventually won by Ben Simmons.

So, maybe Mitchell was trying too hard to score and playing a little out of control, because he usually gets his fair share of assists on most nights. This is a game he should learn from and make sure it doesn't happen again.

The Jazz were picked by many to be a dark horse team in the Western Conference this season. Utah advanced to the second-round of the playoffs last year. However, with the loss on Friday, the Jazz are now 7-8 on the season.
